Don’t we all want things to be better? In the general scheme of things, that is probably pretty much true. No matter what part of our life, we want things to be better. I mean even when things are going along and it’s ok we want it to be better. I guess that is what it is with all of us. We are never happy with the status quo, so we want it to be better.
As I observe each day what is happening around me, I can honestly say I want things to get better. Yes, there is the gas price, inflation and the like but I want more than low cost gas and cheaper food. I want things to be maybe like they were before. Before what, you might ask. Well, before things weren’t the way they are now. That may be too big of an request to ask. But let’s be clear here, the way we are heading as mankind is not a good path to take.
In a recent moment of contemplation it occurred to me that there are those who want to abort babies, take away Constitutional rights, save the planet from climate change and the list goes on. Fine, then leave and go somewhere else. The Governor of California is running ads in Florida asking people to move to California. Someone noted that they left California and came to Florida and he trying to get them back. Now I personally don’t agree with the way they handle things in California. Beautiful state but bad politics. What makes this country great is the freedom which we just celebrated on the 4th of July. We remembered the independence won from England and we celebrated the freedoms we enjoy today because of the battle.
There is one simple reality right now and it is not as much a reality as it was even a year or two ago. The United States of America is the ONLY country in the world where freedom still exist. Those who are wanting these other things are recklessly trying to change us into them.
If that happens, there will be no place on this earth to go. Please listen, that is exactly what the plan is to happen. This past week I posted this on social media. Maybe you saw it but if not here it is for you today.
"This is about the future of the liberal world order and we have to stand firm.”
Brian Deese, Director of the National Economic Council to the President, made this statement about the price of gas. We have to abandon our use of fossil fuel for a cleaner climate using a technology that does not exist and as they develop it, it fails miserably.
End times prophecy continue to be fulfilled. Even so come quickly Lord Jesus. As I read and study end time prophecy, I honestly cannot quite figure out certain things. I know there are those who may have a better understanding, but in the end times things do not get better, they get worse. So as we live in this time and as the end time approaches, there is no reason to conclude things will get better. We live based upon time. A day begins a day ends. We get up, we work, play then go back to bed to get up and do it all over again.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us that-
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
We are all aware of the many conclusions we are hearing about climate change. There is the Green New Deal and declarations that the world will come to an end in a few years if things don’t change. There is nothing wrong with being concerned and doing our part for the environment. Yet, the problem that the world needs to deal with, is the fact that this world will come to an end. However, it won’t be climate change that is the cause.
There is an end coming but it is not at all what you are hearing today. Scripture makes it clear that it will be other things that cause an end to the world as we know it today. Scripture also assures us of a new Heaven and a new earth. All things will pass away and all things will become new.
The fear that each person should have is not climate change. The fear is where will they go when the world does come to an end. If someone believes there is no after life, then they might be interested in knowing what Scripture says. It indicates that once a person’s life comes to an end they will step into eternity. That is time that never ends which is the definition of the word. The eternity will be spent in one of two places. One place is Heaven which is where God resides. The other is hell a place where Satan will be and a place of eternal torment.
I recognize that these are not thoughts that you may have considered before. Well, it is a thought that you should consider. The reason is that whatever you decide here will determine your eternity.
In John 3:16 Jesus said that “God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son and that whoever would believe in Him (Jesus) would not perish but have eternal life.”
Isaiah the prophet prophesied about Jesus coming when he wrote that “all we like sheep have gone astray, and turned to our own way but God has laid on Him (Jesus) the inequity (sin ) of us all.”
So what do you do? I hope that you have already made that decision and asked Jesus to be your Savior. If you haven’t, I encourage you to pray and ask God to save you today.
In Romans Paul said that ‘if you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that a Jesus Christ is Lord and is raised from the dead, you shall be saved.”
In God’s Grace,
